“Specialty Crop Food Safety workshop”
Yakima, WA- The Center for Latino Farmers, a division of the RCDR in partnership and support from WSDA will be hosting a workshop on “food safety” for 20 producers. The workshop will be focus on educating producers and farm workers in transition farm owners throughout Washington State to hear from expert representatives from WSDA, USDA agencies, State and Federal agencies, and Ag industry on food safety topics and other issues facing small producers.
The workshop is scheduled as follows:

Place: Columbia Basin College, 2600 N. 20th Ave, Pasco, Room CTE#203
The Workshops will focus on Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA/FDA), Specialty Crop, GAP/ GHP Farm audit, marketing, federal and state regulations, agriculture economy, Organic Certification, farm risk management, licensing practices.
The Center supports all efforts in better preparing farmers and ranches in knowledge and understanding of food safety and good agriculture practices.
